Terms & Conditions

Locksmith Leeds MobileLS Ltd

1. Who you are booking

Locksmith Leeds MobileLS Ltd (company number 11491559), registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 8 Oaklands Court, Leeds, LS8 3TP, United Kingdom. This is a mobile locksmith service, not a walk-in premises. Contact me on 07814 393652 or 0113 403 5361, or at [email protected].

2. The work I do

I provide locksmith services including emergency entry, lock repair, lock changes, uPVC and multipoint door lock repairs, and vehicle entry when keys are locked inside. The work I can offer depends on the lock, door or vehicle and the fault found. I do not provide replacement car keys, car-key programming or electric garage-door remote programming.

I may ask for evidence that you are entitled to access the property or vehicle. If I cannot establish that I am authorised to carry out the work, I may decline to proceed.

3. Quotes and agreeing the work

Tell me what has happened, your location and, where useful, the lock or door type. A photograph may help me understand the likely work. An initial telephone or WhatsApp estimate is free and without obligation. Some faults cannot be priced accurately until I have checked them in person.

Before starting any chargeable work, I will explain the proposed work and agree the price with you. The price may depend on the access required, the fault, the parts needed and the work you choose. If an unexpected issue means extra work or parts are needed, I will explain and agree any additional cost with you before proceeding.

There is no separate call-out fee. Locksmith Leeds MobileLS Ltd does not currently charge VAT. These statements do not mean that attendance, inspection or labour is free; the agreed charge for the work is separate from an initial remote estimate.

4. Booking and arrival

When we agree a visit, I will explain the likely attendance arrangements. Any arrival time given is an estimate, not a guaranteed appointment time, unless we expressly agree otherwise. Please tell me promptly if your circumstances change or the locksmith is no longer needed.

5. Cancelling or changing a booking

Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange a visit.

When cancellation happens after I have set off, arrived or kept time specifically available for your job, I may ask for a cancellation charge of up to 50% of the initial agreed quote. Any charge will be limited to a reasonable amount reflecting actual loss caused by your cancellation, including travel or time that could not reasonably be recovered. I will take reasonable steps to reduce that loss. It is not an automatic or minimum charge.

If we have agreed that non-returnable special-order parts are to be ordered specifically for your job, I will explain any potential cancellation cost before ordering them. Any recovery of those costs must be reasonable and comply with your legal rights. I will not charge twice for the same loss.

A cancellation charge must be drawn to your attention before you agree to book. A charge will not be imposed merely because the website contains this paragraph, and nothing in these terms overrides your statutory cancellation or refund rights.

6. Your statutory cancellation rights

For some bookings made by phone, online or away from business premises, consumers usually have a 14-day right to cancel. The exact rules depend on how the contract was made and what was agreed. If you ask me to start a non-urgent service within that period, I will explain the consequences and seek the requests or acknowledgements required by law. Where the law permits, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work actually carried out before cancellation.

An exception may apply where you specifically request a visit to carry out urgent repairs or maintenance. That does not automatically remove cancellation rights for additional, non-urgent work or goods supplied beyond what you urgently requested.

If a statutory cancellation right applies, it takes priority over any inconsistent cancellation charge in these terms. I will provide the relevant cancellation information when arranging an eligible booking.

7. Parts, repairs and the 12-month warranty

I will assess whether repair is sensible before recommending replacement where practical. Any parts needed and their cost will be discussed before they are fitted. Common replacement parts are carried, so many jobs can be completed on the first visit, but uncommon or specialist components may require a return visit.

Parts supplied and fitted by Locksmith Leeds MobileLS Ltd and the associated workmanship are covered by the company's 12-month commercial warranty. Labour-only repairs where no parts are fitted are not covered by this additional commercial warranty. This does not exclude or restrict your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services performed with reasonable care and skill.

Please contact me if you believe work or a supplied part is faulty so I can understand the issue and arrange an appropriate response.

8. Payment and receipts

I accept cash, bank transfer and card payments. Card payments are processed through PayPal Point of Sale (formerly iZettle/Zettle). Payment is due immediately after the work is completed, unless we have agreed otherwise in advance. I only offer payment by invoice to customers with whom I already have an established working relationship. Where invoicing has been agreed, the payment due date will be agreed with you and stated on the invoice. You can ask for a receipt when paying on completion.

9. Damage and existing faults

Some locks, doors or mechanisms are already worn, misaligned or damaged when I arrive. I will explain any material risks of opening, repairing or replacing parts where these can reasonably be identified in advance. I use appropriate methods and aim to avoid unnecessary damage. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for negligence where applicable or your statutory consumer rights.

10. Complaints and your rights

If you are unhappy with the work, contact me on 07814 393652, 0113 403 5361 or [email protected]. Tell me what happened, the date of the job and what needs putting right. I will review the concern and discuss an appropriate resolution.

Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable law.
